Giants Sweep A's in Interleague Play

The Giants swept the A's today at the end of their three-game interleague series in San Francisco. Matt Cain pitched an excellent game, leading the Giants to victory in a final score of 7-1. Home runs by Pablo Sandoval and Nate Schierholtz, including a rare inside-the-park home run by Schierholtz, were the offensive highlight of the Giants' gameplay this afternoon. The weather was warm and sunny, the bratwurst fresh, the beer cold, and the crowd lively. But a victory and a sweep for the Giants in the Bay Bridge series is the highlight of the afternoon.
